Sharing what I know about QA+AI.
Practical skills that keep us valuable.
Hey there! I'm William Tran (@williamtranqa), a QA engineer and AI advocate. I came from a manual testing background starting from games testing at ATARI Melbourne. Ever since then, I found a love for breaking things.
I am a manual tester at heart and was thrusted into automation, but I lacked the knowledge to understand how to code. After several poor attempts and late nights, I pushed through some of the pain to learn more. Many mistakes were made, but that's how I truly got to where I am today. But I'm not done learning.
Now with AI, it feels like those late nights could have been mere minutes to accomplish the same task. Funny isn't it? So, with this new found ability that we all can harness, my mission is to help testers work smarter with AI, not handing the job over to it.
I write about what I actually learn from real-world testing, automation, and day-to-day AI use, including the parts that don't work. I'll share free resources, lessons, tips and guides and update them as I go.
Feel free to comment on any of them and I'll reply to you as fast as I can.

Third-party AI note-takers were off-limits at work. Here's the workaround I found hiding in a tool work already had approved.
Aug 17, 2026A line from an old manager still holds up: assumption is the mother of every mistake. AI just gave it a new place to hide.
Aug 15, 2026When devs treat AI like it replaces QA, the blame doesn't disappear. It just lands on QA for missing something QA was never asked to check.
